Perry Ray Goen, 86, of Greenville, passed away on September 28, 2022, in Greenville, Texas. A graveside service will be 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Memory Land Memorial Park. Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. until service time at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Perry was born April 6, 1936, in Greenville, Texas to Frank Goen and Allie Sprinkle. He married Geraldine “Gerry” Perkins on May 30, 1958, in Durant, Oklahoma. He had a 36-year career at LTV/E-Systems and Raytheon. He retired as Director of Logistics for Raytheon.
Perry is survived by his son, Evan Goen of Plano, TX. Three grandsons; Ross Goen and his wife Brandy, daughter Blakely and son Mack, Garren Goen and his wife Jessie sons Wesley, Graham, and daughter Margo and Noah Goen; Brother’s Don and Jerry Goen and niece Michelle Youtz
Perry was preceded in death by his wife, one son and his parents and brother.
Perry was involved in the lives of his three grandsons and was very grateful to have great grandchildren. He loved playing golf in retirement and was a member of the Oaks Country Club.
He had a heart for young men and was a faithful donor to various boys’ organizations that minister to homeless and troubled youth.
