Ramona June Shaffer Brookshire, age 93 of Quinlan, passed away on March 17, 2022, she is now with her greatest loves, her Lord and her husband of 17 years, Eugene, who died in June of 1964.
Ramona was born in Omaha, Nebraska on December 12, 1928. She was the third born of Harold and Bertha Shaffer. She grew up there until she turned 10, she moved to Dallas, TX. The last 30 years she worked at Army Airforce Exchange until she retired in June 2018.
Ramona had a love for people and helping them. She sacrificed her whole life for her family. She had a deep love for the Lord, and she stood on the word to the end.
Ramona is survived by her daughters, Patricia Fallis, and her husband, Jim, and Cindy Davis, and her husband, Larry; granddaughters, Deann Frias, and her husband, Mark, Stephanie Gatlin, and her husband, Blake; grandson, Matthew Gatlin, and his wife Rosa; granddaughter, Lacy Davis; great grandson, Blake Monk, and his wife, Addison, Trevor Frias, Charlie Farnam, Chase Farnam, Kaiden Frias, and Ian Gatlin; great great grandughter, Skyler Monk; great grandson, Isaiah Gatlin; great great grandson, Braxton Monk; nephews, Tommy Shaffer, Chris Shaffer, Timothy Shaffer, and Bill Freels; nieces, Carol, and Kim Z, along with a host of loving relatives and friends.
Ramona was preceded in death by her loving husband, Byron Eugene Monzingo; brother, Thomas Franklin Shaffer, and sister, Betty Shaffer Frills.
