Raymond Frank Clucas was born to Raymond Francis & Agnes Pajank Clucas on November 21, 1942 in Jersey City,
New Jersey. He passed away on October 5, 2023 at his home in Rockwall, Texas. A memorial service is planned at
11 am, October 21 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Greenville, Texas with Justin Milton officiating. Visitation
will be 1 hour before the service at the church.
Raymond met Kay Steele in Mobile, Alabama & they were married April 15, 1966 at Dauphin Way Baptist
Church in Mobile, Alabama. Later that year after Ray got out of the Air Force they moved to Texas & lived in
Greenville until 2018. After they both retired they moved to Rockwall. After moving to Rockwall they joined
First Baptist Church there, but consider Ridgecrest their home church after having been members for 47 years.
While Raymond was a member of Ridgecrest he served as a Deacon & in the Youth Ministry as a Sunday
School Teacher & boys softball coach. One of the highlights of Rays was the week he spent each year at Falls
Creek Youth Camp in Oklahoma.
During Raymond’s years of employment, he worked for LTV in Greenville, Dallas Power & Light, and TU Electric in
Dallas, & Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Greenville.
Ray graduated from High School in 1962 in Dunellen, New Jersey. He attended East Texas State University in
Commerce, Texas & Criswell Bible College.
Raymond’s parents & grandparents preceded him in death.
Survivors include: Wife, Kay Clucas; Sons, Mark Clucas of Fort Worth, Texas & Matthew Clucas & wife, Shala, of
Rockwall, Texas; Daughter, Kelly Emmerson & husband, Erik, of Rockwall, Texas; Grandchildren, Ethan, Tristan
& Bella Emmerson, Dylan & Brooklyn Clucas; Sister, Robyn Schwacke & husband, Cliff, of Stroudsburg,
Pennsylvania; Niece, Kirsten Schwacke, Tannersville, PA; Nephew & wife, Todd & Bev Schwacke, Port Deposit,
MD; Great Nephews, Owen Schwacke & Peyton Insinga; Great Nieces, Kallie Insinga, Ella and Anna Schwacke;
and many cousins and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Youth Ministry at Ridgecrest Baptist in Grenville, Texas.
