Roger Dale Krone, Jr. was born on August 07, 1966 to Roger D. Krone and Darlene Fay Robinson in Denton, Texas. He left this world on June 28, 2024 in Dallas, Texas after a brief and unexpected illness. Roger spent most of his life in the Denton area, and for the last 14 years, he has resided in Lone Oak, Texas.
Roger met his husband Bradley Mathis in 2006, and from the first day they met, they knew they had met the one person meant for them. In 2015 Roger and Brad were married at their ranch, Casper Hill’s Ranch, in Lone Oak. They worked together turning the Ranch into a home filled with Love, Laughter, and Prayers. Roger worked for a number of years in retail for a Ranch and Home store. Roger was a hardworking, dedicated, and Faithful man. One of his favorite scriptures is from Matthew Ch. 11:28-30,
● “Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek, and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Roger was preceded in death by his Father, Roger Dale Krone, Sr., and both sets of Grandparents. His husband Bradley Mathis is left to cherish his memory and to carry on in building the life the two of them often dreamed of. He also leaves behind his mother, Darlene Krone, mother and father-in-law Patricia and Jack Barrow, sister Sherry Arrington, brother-in-law Ron Arrington, nephew Daniel Patrick Hall, and his children Nevaeh, Jacobi and Boston, niece Mikayla Garrison, husband Jordon and their daughters Jane and Isla, as well as a host of extended family and friends all over the country who will remember Roger fondly.
Roger will be remembered at a Memorial service on August 10, 2024 at 1:00 at their ranch located at 6237 County Road 3226, Lone Oak, Texas 75453. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to the B.P.O.E. Texas Elks Children’s Services, 1963 F.M. 1586, Gonzales, Texas 78629
