Rosa “Maurine” Barrett Painter, 84 of Royse City, TX passed away on August 1, 2019. She was born to James & Mary Barrett in Miller Grove, Texas on May 6, 1935.
Family came first in Rosa’s life. She loved and adored each member, she cherished every moment caring for them and simply being with them. Rosa loved playing bingo and won very often. She enjoyed reading and solving her puzzle books. Rosa found joy in sewing, quilting, yet nothing made her more proud than making children’s clothing. She would also spend her time volunteering at the VFW with hospitality.
Rosa is survived by her husband, Loyd Painter; children Carolyn Hablinski (Randy Farr), Cathy Yeakley (Tim), Mike Painter (Lisa), Danny Blunt (Kennie) and Ricky Painter (Vickie), 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; her siblings Judy Waymier, Fran Clark and Perry Sharp and with a host of loving relatives & friends.
Rosa is preceded in death by her parents, her son Ricky Blunt and first husband Loyd Ray Blunt and several siblings.
The family will receive guests for a time of visitation on Monday, August 5, 2019 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Lynch Funeral Home Chapel in Caddo Mills, TX.
