Rudene Carnagey, 93, of Greenville, died Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Hunt Regional Medical Center.  Graveside services will be 3:00 PM, Monday, December 28, 2020 at Memoryland Memorial Park under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.   Rev. Bryant Sears and Dr. Matt Beasley will officiate.  Visitation will be Sunday, 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Carnagey was born in Hasse, Texas on October 11, 1927.  She was the daughter of David Rush and Faye Evans Rush.  She married Erman Price Carnagey on September 15, 1945 in Comanche, Texas.  She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and worked in several school districts as an administrative clerk.

Mrs. Carnagey loved her family and loved to cook.  She played basketball in high school and was an avid artist.

Survivors include her son, David Carnagey and wife Patricia; grandchildren, Nikki Samples, Clay Galloway, Katrina Lynn and Jonathan Inman; six great-grandchildren; brother, Ronnie Rush; and sister LaRue Sears.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Erman Carnagey; Parents; daughter, Catherine Inman; sister, June Rush; and brother Theron Rush.

Honorary pallbearers will be Aidyn Emmerson, Jeff Samples, Clay Galloway, Stephen Lynn, David Galloway and James Galloway.

The family would like to thank Holly Deas, Carol Holdren and Colonial Lodge for the loving care they gave Mrs. Carnagey.
