Teresa Ann May, 67, of Greenville, passed away on July 4, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, care, and beautiful memories. She was born on December 22, 1956 in Kaufman County to Jack and Ruth Reed.
A devoted member of the Catholic faith, Teresa’s life was a testament to her selflessness and her tender heart. Teresa was known for raising her siblings, a role she embraced with grace and dedication. In her younger years, she found joy in playing bingo, often lighting up the room with her enthusiasm. She also had a remarkable talent for redoing furniture and turning ordinary pieces into beautiful treasures. Her compassion and kindness were unmatched; Teresa always put others’ needs before her own, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to taking care of those around her. Teresa was very funny and had a way of making people laugh, it was one of her greatest traits.
She is survived by her best friend and partner, Larry Abernathy of Greenville; loving daughter, Jennifer Whitfield of Greenville; cherished grandchildren: Hunter  McGuire of Rockwall and John Noah McGuire of Caddo Mills; brothers: Tony Reed and wife Tammy, Craig Reed; along with numerous nephews; nieces; other family members; and friends.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Ruth Reed; her brother, Mike Reed; and her sister, Jackie Mitchell. Teresa’s memory will forever be a source of comfort and joy to her family and friends.
