Thomas Malcolm Wiler, Jr., 85, of Quinlan, passed away on September 6, 2019 in Greenville. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, September 9, 2019 at First United Methodist Church in Quinlan with Rev. Mark Moore and Rev. Samuel Glenn officiating. A Masonic Graveside will be in Brashear Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 3:00 P.M.- 5:00 P.M., at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Mr. Wiler was born in Brashear, Texas on July 7, 1934 to Thomas Wiler, Sr. and Bessie Abercrombie Wiler. He married Frances Sale on May 30, 1958 in Brashear, Texas. He was a schoolteacher, a member of First United Methodist Church of Quinlan, a Worshipful Master of Garland Masonic Lodge #441 and a member of Eastern Stars.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Wiler; daughters, Cathy Arrington and husband, Pat, Anita Smith and husband, Darryl, Janet Turner and husband, Richard; sister, Mary Jo McClain; grandchildren, Amanda Cookston, Will Arrington, Rachel Smith, Allyson Smith, Justin Turner, Andrew Turner and Jacob Turner; sister-in-law, Liz Sumrow, Martha Barnard and husband, Bill; and six great-grandchildren, Kara, Jeffery, James, Grace, Arlo Jane and Nya.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Marvin and Lathan Wiler.
Pallbearers will be Pat Arrington, Darryl Smith, Richard Turner, Justin Turner, Andrew Turner and Jacob Turner.
