Valton Ross Wineinger, 83, of Greenville, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at his residence. A memorial service will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Griffin and Mr. Jerry Bench officiating.

Mr. Wineinger was born May 5, 1936 in Ranger, Texas to Huey Wineinger and Hester Shelton. His family moved to Greenville when he was five years old and lived in the Center Point Community.  Valton went to a Two- Room Center Point Community School from first to sixth grade then was fused into Greenville Junior High. He graduated in 1955 from Greenville High School and was active in every class reunion. Sixty-one years ago, he married Margaret Beddingfield on August 8, 1958 in Durant, Oklahoma. He was over a fifty-year member of I.O.O.F. Lodge #87. He retired from E-Systems in 1998 after thirty-three years of service and was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church where he was involved in the Prayer Ministry for over twenty years.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Wineinger of Greenville; daughters, Vicky Wineinger Brown of Greenville and Becky Wineinger Billarreal of Greenville; grandson, Tony Billarreal, II; sister, Joan Combs; nephews, Monty, Kevin and Randy Wineinger; nieces, Sherry Hamm, Kathy McKinnan, Kay Shoemaker, Belinda Watson, Daneen Lopez, Debbie Wineinger, Dinah Rainey, Lisa Westbrook and Joy Phillips;  special friend, Janette Read.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Leon, Dewey, Ernest and Art Wineinger; sister, Laverne Anderson; sons-in-law, Tony Billarreal and Micah Brown; and his beloved dog, Chip.
