Veldon Lavoy Hennen, 87, of Dallas, passed away on April 12, 2021 at Monticello West Assisted Living. Graveside services will be held at Memoryland Memorial Park at 10:00 A.M., Monday, April 19, 2021 with Rev. John Hennen officiating. Visitation will be Monday at 9:00 A.M. until service time at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Veldon was born August 31, 1933 in Greenville, Texas to William Chester and Opal Davis Hennen. He served his country in the United States Air Force stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He worked as an accountant for Texaco for 41 years. He was of the Baptist faith and was a Mason.
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Hennen and partner, Candy Carroll; brother, Alton Hennen and wife, Johnnie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also survived by his loving and dear friends, Joe and Laura Carrell of Houston.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wilson Montgomery, Bazle Hennen; sister, Ensley McLemore, and Patsy Sikes Eddins, mother to his child.
Pallbearers will be his nephews, Justin Hennen and Trey Hennen.
