Vinita Genive McElhanon, 89, Greenville, August 30, 1929 – July 28, 2019

Vinita Genive McElhanon, 89, of Greenville, Texas passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2019 in Greenville. She was born on August 30, 1929 in Rosedale, Oklahoma to Garnet and Lucy Lee (Milsap) Prater. Vinita was married to Bill McElhanon.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband; sons, Jackie McElhanon (Melissa), James Eugene McElhanon (Gayle), Robert Wayne McElhanon; grandchildren, Jason McElhanon, Meagan McElhanon, Sean McElhanon, Adam McElhanon, Natalie Mosrle, John Paul McElhanon, Justin McElahnon; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Eugene Prater.

Vinita was preceded in death by her parents, sister JoAnn Weaver.

Visitation will be at 10:00 AM Friday, August 2, 2019 with the funeral service starting at 11:00 AM at Park Street Baptist Church, in Greenville with Brother Johnny Hailes officiating.
