Mary Margaret Maddox Looney, 100, passed away on December 26, 2020 in Mesquite at Cambridge Court Nursing Home. A graveside service will be Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Memoryland Memorial Park with Dr. John McCart officiating. Visitation will start at 12:00 P.M. until 1:30 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home on Tuesday.
Mary was born on July 11, 1920 to John M. Maddox and Eva Apple in Greenville, Texas. She attended school in Greenville and was a graduate from Greenville High School in 1939. Mary was a devoted Christian woman who loved God her family and friends. Mary was a member of Family Fellowship which used to be Lamar Baptist Church and raised her three children there.
Mary is survived by her daughters Janice Looney of Heath, Texas and Sherry Capps and husband Joe of Sunnyvale, Texas, sister Ann Perry of Garland, Texas, grandchildren Lauren Capps and John Capps and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mary is precede in death by her husband, parents, daughter Linda Raye Looney, son Jerry Looney, and six brothers Garland Maddox, Elton Maddox, Paul Maddox, Varner Maddox, Troy Maddox and Dennis Maddox.
Coker-Mathews Funeral Home in Greenville is in charge of the arrangements.
