Mary Elizabeth Byram, 78, of Quinlan went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her family on July 20, 2023. Mary was born on January 20, 1945, to Cathrine Elizabeth Gossett and Edward Lawson in Winfield, Texas.

She enjoyed coffee, gardening, an occasional casino (lol), playing solitaire on her tablet, garage sales, soft robes, her dogs, decorating for and hosting holidays, spending time with family and friends, fuzzy socks, and her most beloved croc shoes lol!

Mary held many different titles in her lifetime but the title she loved the most was “Mimi”- and she was so good at it.  We as her family, are sad but rejoice thinking about the reunion between Mimi and her son Little Wayne, her parents, brothers, and sisters.

Just as Henry Van Dyke once said  “As we stood by her side saying ‘there she goes’, there were other eyes watching her coming and other voices ready to take up the glad shout saying ‘here she comes’.”

She is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Cathrine; son, Little Wayne; brothers: Edward, John, and Jo David; sisters: Willa Mae, Naomi, and Martha; great-grandchild, Penny; and 4 heavenly great-grandbabies.

Continuing her legacy are her daughters: Cheryl Smith and Aubrea Peterson; grandchildren: Casey and Parish Stone, Brandon and Wendy Peterson,  Alyssa and Quincy McDougald, Cassie and David Steele,  Lindsay and Brandon Alexander, Haley and Fredrick Tramell, and Gregory and Lynda York; great-grandchildren: Hannah, Savannah, Malachi S., Carlyle, Harper, Malachi P., Mason, McKenzi, Lainey, Maebri, Hadley, Chloe, Zoey, Kofie, Kovuu, Kynslee, Conner, Tarok, Linkin, Tearza, Liam, Romeo, Brylee, Bubba, Kyle, and Katelyn; great-great-grandchildren: Baron, Faith, Lily, and Benson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members, and a host of friends.

A visitation will take place Sunday, July 23, at Generation Faith Center from  4 PM—6 PM  followed by a funeral service at Generation Faith Center on Monday, July 24, at 10:30 AM
