Betty Kathlyn (Holt) Adams 93, of Wolfe City, Texas passed away on January 27, 2024.  She was born on July 25, 1930 to Alfred Taylor and Dora Lusk (Garner) Holt in Coppell, Texas.

Betty lived life to its fullest.
She worked for and retired from  E-Systems as an executive secretary in Greenville, Texas.
She was a strong Christian woman and loved the Lord Jesus Christ.  She loved to sing and worship Him with her beautiful voice. She taught 2nd grade Sunday School for 25 years at First Baptist Grand Prairie where she was a life time member.  Later in life she and 3rd husband James were faithful members of the Old Concord Baptist Church in Greenville, Texas.
Betty enjoyed being in the kitchen and was a talented cook. She made Chicken and Dumplings for church dinners, family reunions and all friends.  One of her friends called her the “Chicken and Dumpling Queen.”  She gladly shared her recipe with anyone who asked for it.  It was a family recipe handed down for generations.  In addition, her Coconut Cream Pie was another specialty that she proudly carried to family reunions and get togethers.
Betty leaves lasting and wonderful memories for her family and friends.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Kathy George and husband Tim; sons, Jimmy Wright, Bill Wright and wife Becky; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; along with a host of loving relatives and friends.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Bobby Lloyd Wright, and second husband, Raymond Gray, third husband, James Travis Adams; eight sisters and one brother

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 5, 2024 in the Lynch Funeral Service Chapel in Greenville, Texas.  The visitation will begin one hour prior at 10:00 am .  Bro. Gary Griffin will officiate the services. At 1:30 pm Betty will be laid to rest in the Southland Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Prairie, Texas.
