Marvin Darrell Denney, 83, of Quinlan, Texas passed away on March 11, 2024. He was born on February 2, 1941 to Joseph and Sarah Denney in Edgar, Nebraska.
Marvin proudly served his country for 23 years in the Army and National Guard, with tours in Korea, Vietnam, and Germany, earned the rank of Staff Sergeant, and was a Purple Heart recipient. Marvin was a staff sergeant in the Army and was a crew chief on a helicopter. He retired from Boeing, in Seattle after 32 years of service. His hobbies were classic cars, telling war stories, Â playing cards, going to the casino, attending the Caddo Mills Opry, reading James Patterson books, watching baseball and football, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Vansickle Baptist Church of Greenville.
Marvin is survived by his loving children: Darrel Denney of Winston, OR, Robin Andrews of Quinlan, TX, Sherry Estes of Winston, OR, Cindy Ellsworth of Tacoma, WA; brother, William James Denney of Tacoma, WA; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Sarah; sisters, Faye and Viola; brothers; Joseph Jr. and Ivan; and grandson, Cody Andrews.
