Carole Janette (Jacobs) Gasway, 81, of Greenville, Texas passed away peacefully on May 3, 2024 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born September 13, 1942 to Carson Jacobs and Nettie Sustaire Jacobs in Franklin County, Texas.
Carole could master anything she set her heart to and her paintings and crafts reflected this. She and Dwight traveled extensively through the Blue Grass Community and considered its members as family. She and Dwight sponsored the Third Generation Blue Grass Band and its members called her Mama C.
Carole was the sweetest-tempered person and was known to be selfless, loving, and kind. If she knew of anyone who was spending Christmas alone, she invited them to Christmas Dinner.
Carole is survived by her loving daughter; Letha Gray and husband David, cousins; Ellen Morrow and Bernita Thurman, her dear caretaker; Deborah Alexander and husband James, along with a host of loving relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Dwight Gasway, and daughter; Lora Kayleen Gasway.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 1:00 pm, at Lynch Funeral Service Chapel in Greenville.
