Loann Scarborough Lindsey died peacefully on February 20, 2021

in Greenville Texas at age 84.

Loann is survived by brother Charles Scarborough and wife Carolyn of Greenville, sisters Nellie Walls of Lingleville Texas, Elaine Walker and husband Barney of Palestine, Texas.

Son Billy Lindsey and Wife Carolyn, Grandchildren Jason Lindsey of Greenville, Laura Lindsey Canan and Husband Steven of Hallsville Texas, and James Douglas Lindsey Jr and wife Melissa of Fort Bliss, El Paso Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jurl Dean Lindsey of Greenville, son James Douglas Lindsey of Greenville, and parents, D.H. Scarborough and Lessie Keller, Brothers and Sisters, Maudie Lee Thompson, Henry Samuel Scarborough, Lavette Brewer, Mozelle Pugh, Delmo Scarborough, Oleta Armstrong and Earnest Scarborough.

She was born December 23, 1936, in Wolf City, Texas, the daughter of Hubert Scarborough and Lessie Keller. Her children and grandchildren remember her as a kind, gentle, patient mother/grandmother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. She loved watching western movies and caring for her husband, grandchildren, mother and father and others.

Visitation will be at Lynch Funeral Home, Wednesday 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

Funeral is scheduled for Thursday February 25 at 10:00am at Simmons Cemetery with a grave site service, brother Charles Scarborough and brother in-law Barney Walker will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Loann’s life.
