Modesto Rodriguez, 83, of Greenville, passed away on March 14, 2021 in Greenville. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, March 18, 2021 at St. Williams Catholic Church with Father Robert Williams officiating. Visitation will be 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Modesto was born June 15, 1937 in Celeste, Texas to Jesus Rodriguez and Marcelina Ramirez. He married Janie Morquecho on February 6, 1965 in Greenville, Texas. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and worked as a Senior Value Engineer. He was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church.
He is survived by his son, Joel Michael Rodriguez and wife, Jennifer; daughters, Mary Grace Rodriguez and partner, Angela Melia, Marcie Rodriguez and husband, Toby Hazelip, and Misti Rodriguez Gyamfi and husband, Max; brothers, Jessie Rodriguez and Joe Rodriguez; sisters, Terri Rodriguez, Tommie Moon, Mary Pacheco and Mickie Rodriguez; grandchildren, Lucas Rodriguez, Max Rodriguez, Cruz Gyamfi and Mateo Gyamfi; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, infant son, Joel Anthony Rodriguez and sister, Carmel Saenz.
Pallbearers will be Joel Rodriguez, Toby Hazelip, Jessie Rodriguez, Joe Rodriguez, Lucas Rodriguez and Max Rodriguez.
