Betty Jean King, 82 lovingly called Sister, Mom, Aunt, Grandma, and G.G. went to Heaven with her Lord and Savior and loved ones. She passed away peacefully at her home, while surrounded by her loving family on April 14, 2021.

She is survived by her cowboy, Douglas Arnold King and his wife Lisa of Point, TX.; son, Michael David King of Mexico; daughter in law, Angie King of Greenville; her princess and best friend Jennifer Donaho of Wills Point, Tx.; daughter in law, Regina Chevevey of Tyler, TX; sister, Patricia Stiffer of Arizona; sister, Margie Jackson of Richardson, Tx; brother, John Bangs and sister in law, Beverly of Prosper, Tx. She had eight grandkids, Jodi, Cassie, Justin, Derrik, Garrett, Nicholas, and Aubrey, along with seven great grandkids and loads of nieces and nephews and extended family.

Betty served the Lord, her family, her church, and her community. She spent her life leading others to her source of joy – Jesus. She volunteered her entire life, in every community that she lived in, she was an active member. She enjoyed reading, singing at the nursing homes, working at the food banks, taking food to the shut ins, playing games at the community center or anywhere or anyone who wanted to play. She loved to gather with family and friends for a good time. She adored gardening, traveling, camping, hiking loved the water and loved watching birds. Most importantly she loved her family.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Elda Bangs; son, Dwayne Edward King; brothers, George Bangs, Dick Bangs, Art Bangs, and her sisters, Rose, Gladys, Mary, Annabell, and Turah.

There will be a visitation at Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville on Monday, April 19, 2021 from 6-8 PM. A Funeral Service will also be at Lynch Funeral Service on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 1 PM.
