Delbert Lear Sandquist, 53, of Greenville, TX., passed away on February 1, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A graveside service will be Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville, TX. With Steve Johnson officiating. Visitation will be 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Saturday morning at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Delbert was born on February 23, 1968, in Addison Township, Illinois, to Duane Sandquist and Shirley Carr Sandquist. Delbert worked in production support for L-3 Harris in Greenville. Delbert married Melinda Punay on November 26, 2005, in Greenville, Texas. He was a member of Family Fellowship Church in Greenville.
In his free time, Delbert enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, taking care of his fish and orchids, gardening, and fishing. He was a hard worker and always put his best effort into any project or job.
Delbert is survived by his loving wife Melinda, sons Timothy Sandquist and Aaron Sandquist, daughters Amanda Mager and husband Kyle, Arabella Sandquist and Annamae Sandquist, father Duane Sandquist, brothers Eric Sandquist and wife Susan, Jeremy Sandquist, Jason Sandquist and wife Janna, grandchildren Garreth Mager, Ronen Mager, Toviyyah Mager and Jethro Mager, father-in-law Anastacio Punay, mother-in-law Fermina Punay, brother-in-law Marwin Punay, and many others.
Pallbearers will be Marwin Punay, Timothy Sandquist, Chad Porterfield, Joseph Dalton, Eric Sandquist Jr. and Joshua Sandquist.
Delbert is preceded in death by his mother, sister Jody Sandquist, and sister-in-law Marie Fe Drennan.
