Alan K. Wyatt, a beacon of light in the lives of his family and friends, bid a graceful farewell to this world on April 17, 2024. His journey, which began in McKinney, Texas on August 14, 1960, concluded in Caddo Mills, surrounded by those who held him dear.
After graduating from Farmersville ISD, Alan, at the age of 18, started working for GTE and ended his phone career 43 years later with Verizon/Frontier. After his retirement, you could always find him relaxing with family and friends at his Salty Dog Oasis
Alan will be remembered for the unwavering love and care he bestowed upon his family, a legacy that will endure through the ages. His laughter and infectious sense of humor brought joy to all those around him, making every moment spent in his presence a cherished memory. Family and God were always the most important things to Alan along with being a supporter of youth involved in 4-H and FFA.
Being a cars, truck, and Jeep enthusiast Alan loved working on his red Corvette and most recently in life, Alan enjoyed raising corgis and showing Teddy Roosevelt Terriers. Alan was also big in the horse community and spent many years trail riding, attending play days, and riding in the drill team along with being a member of several different horse organizations and clubs. When not working on his hobby you could find Alan involved with Eastridge Church of Christ.
Among Alan’s proudest accomplishments was the nurturing of a loving family by being a dad and popster. Nancy Wyatt, his devoted wife, stood by his side through thick and thin, embodying the essence of true partnership. His children, Emily & Joshua McIntire, Ben Wyatt, Emzie Austin, Kylie Wyatt, and granddaughter Hannah McIntire were not just the recipients of his love but also the bearers of his values and spirit. Sharing in the loss of Alan are his mother Betty Wyatt, sisters Pam & Tony LeFan, Penny & Donnie Skidmore along with many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father William “Jack” Wyatt.
As we mourn the loss of Alan from our earthly realm, we find solace in knowing that his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. May his kindness, laughter, and love continue to inspire us as we navigate life’s journey without his physical presence.
In honoring Alan K. Wyatt’s memory, let us take a moment to cherish the laughter shared, the lessons taught, and the love given. Though he may have departed from this world, his legacy endures eternally in the lives he touched. Rest in peace, dear Alan.
The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life at the Farmersville Civic Center on Sunday, April 28th, 2024 from 2 pm-5 pm.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to UT Southwest Cancer Center or your local 4-H or FFA chapter in his honor.
