Alice Kay Wilbur, 72, of Miller Grove passed away peacefully at her home on September 27, 2019. Mrs. Wilbur was born on July 5, 1947 in Hillsboro, Texas.
She married the love of her life Johnny Wilbur on December 7, 1975 in Grapevine, Texas. She was known for her work at Henley Drilling in Dallas, Texas. Alice retired from Raytheon after working in the payroll department for 20 years. Alice loved cooking, watching her favorite tv shows, skiing, bowling, playing basketball, and volunteering in the Miller Grove Community. She welcomed all of the kids in the community with open arms and a heart full of love. Her humility and kindness towards others was inspiring and her generous loving spirit touched the lives of everyone she met.
Alice was proceeded in death by her husband Johnny Wilbur.
She is survived by her son John Wilbur and wife Stacie; daughter, Holly Wilbur; brother Loys Moorman, sisters; Lola Moorman and Linda Shaw: Her BIGGEST pride and joy was her grandughters Sarah, Kaitlin, Ava and Hadley whom she lived for; along with many friends. She dearly loved her Farmers Electric family and the many special “children” in her life that she considered and treated as her own.
Her memorial service will be held at 2 P.M., Tuesday October 1, 2019 at County Line Baptist Church in Miller Grove with Brother Wayne Daugherty officiating. There will be a reception following the service. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
While on earth Alice was an angel that touched many lives and now she will be the angel that sits by Johnny’s side as she watches over us each day from Heaven. We already miss her dearly. We love you Mimi!
