Barbara Lewis, age 72 of Quinlan, TX went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 12, 2024. There will be a celebration of her life held Friday, July 26, at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan, TX starting at 1:00 P.M.
Barbara was born on Tuesday, February 19, 1952, to parents John “Jack” Baugh and Kathleen (Bittle) Baugh in Cleveland, Ohio and was raised in Dallas, Texas. She attended St. Monica Jr. High in Dallas until the 8th grade and graduated in 1969 from W.T. White High School in Dallas.
Barbara was a natural caregiver to all living things but loved to take care of animals and children the most. She married the love of her life, John Lewis, in Dallas on November 3, 1972. That same year, Barbara started at Baylor Hospital where she was a medical assistant/ Electric Tech – Cardiogram tech.
In her free time, Barbara enjoyed escaping from all of life’s troubles by going camping and going on trips to the beach with family and extended family. She found that being with her grandchildren was always time well spent. She was always proud of everything that they did and was her grandson Chandler’s biggest fan when it came to his baseball games. She loved to play Candy Crush or solitaire. She was also an inspiration when it came to the community. Barbara was not only on a bowling team, but she was an aerobics instructor as well.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother John, and grandson Preston Cole Williams.
She leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered and passed down through her husband John T Lewis, son John Lewis Jr. and wife Shauna, daughter Christi Williams; grandchildren, Chandler Grayson Lewis and Madison Joy Clark and husband Matt; brothers, David Baugh, Chris Baugh, and Michael Baugh and husband Tim; and sister Mary Ader and husband Michael, and her fur baby Rocky. She also leaves behind many loving friends, in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Barbara was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and Grammy.
