Billie Jean Pickens, born and raised in Greenville, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2020 at her home in Greenville at the age of 95. Visitation will be 6 P.M. – 8 P.M. on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 24, 2020 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Wally Jeffers officiating. Burial will be in East Mount Cemetery. Celebration of Life ceremony will be 4:30 P.M. – 6:30 P.M. at Club Lake Clubhouse, for everyone to join.

Mrs. Pickens was born on October 19, 1924 in Greenville, Texas to Andrew Jackson Howell and Maggie Southall. She married Charles Vester Pickens on October 9, 1953 in Greenville, Texas. She was the owner and president of Greenville Transformer for 58 years. She was a member of the Altrusa Club of Greenville for 43 years where she was the longest member, Wesley United Methodist Church, Planning and Zoning for the City of Greenville, and Board of Directors on Greenville Club Lake. Billie made a lasting impression on everyone she met and will be missed by all. Billie is survived by her son, Steve Pickens and wife, Kellye; daughter, Pamela Pickens McLeod and husband, Gary; grandchildren, Nicole Awalt and husband, Chase, parents to great-grandchild, Briggs Awalt; Alana McLeod, Ross Pickens, Stone Pickens, Thorne Pickens and wife, Taylor, Charlye Pickens and Zach Nichols, parents of great-grandchild, Blade Nichols.
