Bobby “Papa” Eugene Skinner passed from this earth on November 4, 2024 surrounded by loved ones.   Bobby was born to Robert & Pearl Mae Skinner on November 10, 1946 in Dallas, Texas .  He graduated from Bryan Adams High School in Dallas, as did all his children. He married the love of his life, Rhenda, on November 14, 1969.  They were married for a wonderful 55 years.  Bobby worked at Gaylord Container Corp for 45 years and volunteered for DISD.  He was also a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader for many years.  Friends and family would describe him as a quiet and kind soul. He was the most lovable person you’d ever meet. Bobby enjoyed going on summer vacations and playing many types of games all together with his family.  He was most proud when his children and grandchildren were born.  Bobby loved walking his granddaughter, Katie down the aisle on her wedding day.  His favorite things to do were playing mahjong and solitaire, going to Disney World, and collecting swords.  He also loved listening to Celtic music, watching the History Channel, and researching his genealogy.  He was just an amazing history and movie buff. Bobby proudly served our country in the Army stationed in Vietnam.

Bobby is survived by his beautiful wife, Rhenda, his sons Clint & Steven and a daughter Wendy Hood.  He is also survived by granddaughters Dominique Garza, Katherine “Katie” Morrill, Aliyah Skinner and Gemma Gross.  He is also survived by his grandsons Josh Garza, Nathaniel “Nate” Morrill, Robert “Robbie” Skinner and Steven “Stevie” Skinner.

Bobby was preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert and Pearl Skinner, and his brother Delvan Skinner.
