Funeral service for Charles Corley, age 80, of Greenville will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Creekside Church of Christ with Jody Garner officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Mr. Corley passed away at his residence on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.
Charles was born on October 20, 1941 in Waco, TX to Herman and Ina Corley. He married Connie Willis on April 10, 1964, in Houston, TX. After losing Connie he married Ellie Hull on May 31, 1990 in Greenville, TX. Charles enjoyed painting, woodwork, cooking and adored spending time with his family. He retired after many years from UT Southwestern Catering Department.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Cathy Garner and her husband, Hal of Greenville, TX.; grandsons, Peter Garner and his wife, Brandi of Greenville, TX., Jody Garner and his wife, Jessica of Longview, TX., and Andy Garner and his wife, Kara of Greenville, TX.; great-grandsons, Jack Garner of Greenville, TX., Christian Garner of Longview, TX., Keith Garner of Greenville, TX.; great-granddaughters, Addie Garner of Longview, TX., and Caroline Garner of Greenville, TX.; sister, Gwen Pulley of Livingston, TX.; daughter-in-law, Patty Swearingen of Caddo Mills, TX.; grandson, Nathan Swearingen of Dallas, TX.; and granddaughter, Danna Swearingen-Teague of San Antonio, TX., as well as numerous nieces and nephews and host of loving relatives and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Ina Corley; wife, Connie Willis Corley; wife, Ellie Hull Corley; stepson, Doug Swearingen, and two brothers and three sisters.
