Carol Marie Dodd, 76, of Commerce, passed away at Oak Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation on Saturday morning July 15, 2023. She was born on November 17, 1946 in Lancaster County, PA to James Dole and Mary Humphries Dye. She met and married Jerry Dodd on February 3, 1968 in Ithaca, NY. The Dodds made their way to Texas in 1977 and have remained Texans since. Carol was a librarian at Texas A&M University in Commerce. She loved quilting and bird watching.
Carol is survived by her husband Jerry, son Gavin Dodd of Ft. Worth, and grandson Riley Dodd of Wylie. She is also survived by a sister Babs Griswold of Coatepec in Veracruz, Mexico, and a brother Steve Doles of Seal Beach, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Alice Goodwin and Diane Doles.
