On June 23, 1958 Curtis Elroy Govan, beloved son of the late Emma Jo and Roy Joe Govan was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He passed away on May 31, 2023 in Dallas, Texas. He currently resided in Greenville, Texas.
Curtis worked as a ranch hand on Caruth’s Ranch in the Lone Oak area for over 30 years. He was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church in his younger years of life. He attended school in Dallas, Texas.
Curtis leaves lasting and wonderful memories for his family and friends.
Curtis leaves his beloved wife of 40 years, Melissa Forbes; brother Douglas Ross; sister, Wennetta Govan; nieces, Sheretta Govan, Trina Govan, Erica Govan, Markeesha Govan; many nieces and nephews; along with a host of loving relatives and friends.
Curtis is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 10, 2023 in the Lynch Funeral Service Chapel in Greenville, Texas. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at 1:00 pm.
