Daisy Lavenia (Welchel) Skinner, 84, died Friday, June 11, 2021 at her home surround by her loving family in Quinlan, Texas.
Being a family woman, she was lovingly known as “Mimi” and “Aunt Vennie.” She cherished every moment spent with each family member above everything else in her life. She walked with the Lord and knew Him intimately. Prayer was a vital part of her life. For more than 58 years she served as an active member and pastor’s wife of different churches in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma.
Along with her love for sewing and gardening, she enjoyed every aspect of being outdoors, even weed eating her beautifully manicured lawn.
She leaves lasting and wonderful memories for her family and friends.
Daisy is survived by her children Jimmy Skinner, wife Stacy; Cindy Weeks, husband Mark; Wendell Skinner, wife Kim; Jacky Skinner, wife Cathy; Karen Fowler, husband Ronny. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Her puppy “Dixie”. Along with a host of loving relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnnie Skinner, her parents, 2 sisters, and 3 brothers.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 14, 2021 at Lynch Funeral Service Chapel with interment services to follow at Mills Cemetery in Garland, Texas at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held from 3-5 P.M. Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Lynch Funeral Service.
