Darlene Robinson, 71, of Quinlan, passed away on July 17, 2022. She was born on December 23, 1950, in Terrell to Joe & Zelma (Jody) Moffitt.

Darlene grew up in Quinlan and attended Quinlan schools. She married James (Sam) Robinson on her birthday in 1972, and they would have been married 50 years this December.

She spent her years as a homemaker, taking care of her family and always scheming with her sisters to devise “hair-brained” ideas to make extra money–somewhat Lucy/Ethel-esque! She loved playing poker, going on cruises, and watching her great-niece, Julianna, play basketball. Her grandboys (Andrick, Landry Sam, and Levi Hawk) were the light of her life.

Darlene is survived by her husband, James (Sam) Robinson; daughters, Deanna Jo Robinson of Alaska and Millie Jolene Thomas and Ben of Dallas; brother, Joe Edward (Topper) Moffitt, Jr. of Quinlan; sisters, Cynthia Sampson and David of Celeste, Jo Anna Brock of Quinlan, and Susan Evans and Darren of Quinlan; grandchildren, Andrick, Landry Sam, and Levi Hawk LLenas, in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Zelma Moffitt; sisters, Judy Hardt, Linda Moffitt, Mary Ellen Moffitt; brothers, Tommy Joe Moffitt and Joe Edward Moffitt; and her beloved dog, King.
