He was born on November 10, 1932 in Pendleton, Oregon to James Franklin and Mary Lee Marlow.
Darrell proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army, a role he held with great honor.
Darrell was a true cowboy at heart and had horses throughout his life. He loved team roping and enjoyed horse camping in the mountains of Oregon, where he felt most at home. An avid fisherman, Darrell cherished time spent in nature. Darrell’s legacy of love, loyalty, and adventure will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lillis Marlow; his daughter, Melinda Lane, and her husband, Russell of Caddo Mills; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Marlow, and his twin brother, Harold Marlow.
A graveside service will be held at 1:15 p.m. on Monday, September 16, 2024, at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.
Family to have a memorial service at a later date.
