Roy Eugene Lemon age 74 of Campbell Texas hunted for the last time on January 5, 2022. Funeral service will be held on January 10, 2022, at 2:00 P.M, at Ingram Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at 12:00 P.M Graveside will be held at Sullivan Cemetery in Campbell Texas.
Roy was born on December 5, 1947, to the late Claude and Frankie Lemon in Commerce Texas. He grew up in the Commerce and Fairlie Texas area. He met the love of his life and married Donna Jean Grounds on March 29, 1966. He worked as a Little Debbie Distributor. When he wasn’t working, he was an avid hunter and his favorite was Coon Hunting, he also loved playing blackjack. He was a member of the NRA, was on the school board at the Campbell Independent School District, also a Deacon at First Baptist Church in Campbell. Out of all his accomplishments was the love he had for his family and spending time with his grandbabies and great grandbabies.
When visiting Ronna and Jerry he loved going to garage sales. Loved his family beyond measure and would do anything for them without question. Cori would always crawl up in daddy’s lap when she had a loose tooth for daddy to pull with pliers. Dad loved coaching Cori’s softball team from the time she was in tee-ball to her senior year.
Roy is survived by daughters Wendy J Robers, Cori L. Snarr, grandchildren; Harley Arvizo, William Davis, Haden Snarr, Teagan Helzer, Jaden Helzer, Hunter Snarr, Cody Ford, Emma Davis and great-grandchildren, Malia Arvizo, Amelia Arvizo, Phoenix Snarr, Angie West, and Isiah on the way.
Preceded in death by his sisters, Janie Lunceford, Patsy Ann Lemon and Merita Faye Lemon along with his grandparents, Jacob Edwards Lemon, Rilla A Dannor, Franklin Crawford Guest and Lillie Mae Young, and daughter Ronna Kaye Davis.
He will be missed by everyone he touched.
