Denise Lulene Henson, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024, in Greenville, Texas, at the age of 67. She was born on December 10, 1957, in El Paso, Texas, to Jerry D. Hayes Sr. and Rhonda (Rhodes) Hayes.
Denise retired from the United States Postal Service after many years of dedicated service. She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, where she found peace and community. Her warmth and generosity left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Denise was passionate about life and enjoyed a variety of activities, including scuba diving, horseback riding, playing music, and spending time with her beloved Rottweilers. She loved the outdoors and found joy in every moment spent in nature, whether riding horses or exploring the waters.
Denise is survived by her fiancé, Rickey T. Cameron; her daughter, Desiree M. Henson; her brother, Jerry D. Hayes Jr.; and her cherished grandchild, Gracey Kimbrell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Ronda Hayes.
A celebration of Denise’s life will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Greenville, Texas, Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 11:00 am. Denise will be laid to rest at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville following the service.
