Dorothy Eloise Lindsey, 87, passed away on April 30, 2021 at Oak Manor Nursing Home in Commerce, Texas. Funeral services will be Sunday, May 2, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. in the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Kenneth Ballard and Rev. Robert Cook officiating. Burial will follow the service at Caddo Mills IOOF cemetery. Visitation is Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born on August 7, 1933 to Gordon Gilbreath Moore and Alice Hasseltine Mize in Stamford, Texas. Dorothy worked for Haggar Slacks, Mary of Puddin Hill and Lance.
Dorothy is survived by daughters Pam Brooks & husband Jesse of Greenville, Texas, Duronda Sampson & husband Richard of Lone Oak, Texas, and Shelia Fahrni & husband Ron of Arlington, Texas, brother Gene Moore & wife Juanita of Greenville, Texas, sister Alice Abbott of Austin, Texas, Grandchildren Kimberly Underwood & Craig, Cody Brooks & Irene, Jeremy Underwood & Tammy, Hillary Bailey & Kyle, Sarah Douglas & Justin and Lindsey Fahrni and 14 great grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Daulton Moore, Billy Moore, Samuel Moore and Robert Moore, sisters Martha Jones, Shirley Felts and Wathene Moore.
Pallbearers are Jeremy Underwood, Cody Brooks, Colby Underwood, Hunter Underwood, Kyle Bailey, Justin Douglas and Craig Underwood.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Nathan Pritzker, John Michael Douglas, Preston Brooks and Griffin Brooks.
