Franklin D Bales, 83, of Greenville, went to be with his Heavenly Father on March 3, 2024, in Farmersville, Texas. Franklin was born on February 18, 1941, in Clarksville, Texas, to Lois and Clarence Albert “CA” Bales.

Frank proudly served his country as a part of the US Army during Vietnam. He loved his family dearly, including his grandkids and great-grandkids. Frank had a passion for horses. He worked for Alcatel for 30 years before retiring in 1999. Frank couldn’t stay away from work long, and joined Rafter P Construction in 2005, before retiring for a second time in 2017.

Frank is survived by his wife of 31 years, Peggy Jean Bales; children: Kelli Caldwell and David, Jeremy Couch and Andrea; grandchildren: Zain Pennington, Dawson Caldwell and Alyssa, Kailyn Caldwell, Chelsea Mayes and Brandon; great-grandchildren: Zaleigh Pennington, Zaden Pennington, Paisley Caldwell, Adi Caldwell, Paxton Mayes, Hazel Mayes; brother: David Bales and wife Theresa; and a host of loving friends.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Bales; and sister, Patricia “Patsy” Bales.

A graveside inurnment will be held on Friday, March 29, at 10:15 AM at the DFW National Cemetery. A visitation will take place the evening prior on Thursday, March 28, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville.
