Gerald Hall, age 80, of Greenville, Texas, passed away July 21, 2022. Gerald was born June 19, 1942 to Marvin Hall and Ola (Wynne) Hall. He married the love of his life, Cheta Kolaczkowski Boldt, on April 27, 1984, and spent 38 wonderful years loving her. Gerald was a devout Christian and a true faithful servant.
In his lifetime, Gerald served as a cook in the US Army, a farmer, a cowboy that loved the rodeo and he owned his own feed store. His rodeo days produced Championship Calf Roping belt buckles. Gerald enjoyed making conversation and would say he had never met a stranger. He cherished quality time with his family and friends from the days of his youth through his 80th Birthday. “Pap” was praised for his master chef and culinary creations he provided to his large family each Thanksgiving and Christmas. Gerald had a successful career leading the Farmer’s Co-Op in Greenville, Texas, for 27 years and serving the needs of hundreds of farmers across Northeast Texas. After retiring from the Farmer’s Co-Operative Gerald cooked meals for students in the Greenville Independent School District. Gerald also enjoyed driving cars and delivering cars to customers for Greenville Chrysler. Gerald was fortunate to be cared for and pampered by his niece, Vikki Shropshire, and Vikki’s friends in the weeks prior to his passing. The family expresses they are eternally grateful to Vikki and her family of friends for their heartfelt bedside manner and loving support of Gerald.
Gerald is survived by his wife; Cheta, brother; Larry Wynne Hall and his wife Dolores, step-sons; David Boldt and his wife Kristi, Clint Boldt and Billinda, Grandchildren; Brittani and husband Chris, Brendon, Braden, Briley, Jordan, Jackson, Jillian, Jaclyn, and great grandchildren Christopher and Alexander.
Gerald was proceeded in death by his parents, his sisters; Buna Ann Hall Roland and Flonoya Lon Hall Coldwell, and brothers; Marvin Elmon Hall Jr, Howard Wayne Hall, and Clifton Earl Hall
Services will be held at Central Christian Church in Greenville at 11a.m Wednesday, July 27, 2022.
Pallbearers for Gerald will include the following: Brendon Boldt, Braden Boldt, Chris Cole, Cordryc Shropshire, Kasey Hall, Ron Roland, and Wade Davis.
