Harvey Jo Bantau, 84, of Merit, passed away on January 24, 2024 in Farmersville TX. Her memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 10, 2024, in the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Nick Lamb officiating.
Jo was born on August 8, 1939, in Wilson, Oklahoma to David Sherman Allred and Margaret Frances Doyle. Jo married B. E. Bantau in 1958, in Weatherford, Texas. Jo worked in her early years as a master cutter for Shirey’s in Greenville for 15 years, then Jo worked for Lance Inc. and later in life worked for Bland ISD. Jo was a member of the Merit Baptist Church for 50 years.
Jo is survived by a daughter, Sherry Banteaux, Half-Sister, Sue Grissom, Sister-in-Law, Loyce Allred Kent, Niece, Stevie Pottberg and husband, Steve, Nephews David, and James Allred, Friend, Jaye Jarrard.
Jo is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother, J. J. Allred.
