Ivory Murl Bruner, 88, of Greenville, died Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Foster officiating. Interment will follow in Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Bruner was born in Caddo Mills, Texas on September 15, 1931. He was the son of Ivory I. Bruner and Mary Emiline Pitts Bruner. He married Mary Louise Kneggs on September 1, 1951 in Greenville. He was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church. Mr. Bruner was owner of Bruner Plumbing and a veteran of the U. S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Louise Bruner; son, Eddie Murl Bruner and wife Tricia; daughter, Charolette Louise Stier and husband George; grandchildren, Ashley Strait and husband Colton, Jared Bruner and wife Ashley and Mandy McKamie; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Foustine Boyd and Ruby Boyd.
Pallbearers will be Jared Bruner, Colton Strait, Guy Carmichael, Bob Boyd, Gene Boyd and Jimmy Campbell.
