Jackie was born July 23, 1929 in Farmington, Missouri to parents Grover Cleveland and Maud Calvert McDaniel.  She was welcomed into Heaven by her Lord, Jesus, as well as by her beloved Bosie, and grandsons Rusty and Justin.

Jackie grew up in Farmington, Missouri and there met and married Evault “Bosie” Boswell in 1948.  After several moves to different states, the couple settled in Greenville, Texas.  Jackie worked at Belk Department Store, as well as Brookshires, but she really loved bookkeeping.  As God works, in 1962, Bosie and Jackie accepted Christ into their hearts and lives, and things changed forever.  In 1981 Bosie was called to be the director of Zephyr Baptist Encampment near Corpus Christi, TX.  Jackie served as second in command, doing all the bookkeeping for the camp, as well as managing the kitchen.  Over their years at Zephyr, several of their grandchildren were staffers at the summer camps and it was Jackie “Memaw” they feared more than Bosie.  She wrote their paychecks and would not pay them until their cabins were cleaned.  She was tiny but mighty!

After their retirement from Zephyr, they returned to Greenville, and once again became active in church, now at Highland Terrace Baptist.  She and Bosie were also frequent visitors to Briarcliff Nursing Home where they would sing together for the residents, as well as the Salvation Army. During this time Jackie also began serving as a “Pink Lady” volunteer at the Hunt Regional Medical Center.  She truly loved her volunteer work and continued in it for more than twenty years.

Jackie was a talented pianist, an avid Texas Rangers fan (but baseball in general), a rock collector extraordinaire, a skilled bird watcher, a so-so golfer, adventure loving, the best mother in the entire world, and a daughter of the King.  She will be so greatly missed.

Jackie is survived by her three children, Linda Acker and her husband, Glenn Acker; Becky McConnell and her husband Jim McConnell; and Joe Boswell and his wife, Dawn Boswell.  Grandchildren include:  Wesley Acker  and his wife Penney;  Catherine Acker; Nick Acker and his wife Beka; Jeff Dobbs and his wife Brandy; Matt Boswell and his wife Jessica; Marc Boswell and his wife Anna Grace; Jacqueline Nicole Boswell and Bailey Moore.  Great grandchildren include:  Peyton Arnold, Lauren Arnold, Jacob Dobbs, Kadin Acker, Kaitlyn Acker, Jayci Dobbs, Emily Dobbs, Abigail Acker, Khloe Acker, Zoe Acker, Seth Acker, Liam Acker, Aaron Boswell, Isaac Boswell, Baxley Acker and the newest addition, Parker Boswell.  She is also survived by precious nieces and nephews.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Emma, Polly and Dot, her brother, Charles (“Bud”), her husband of 70 years, Bosie, and grandsons Rusty Dobbs and Justin Acker.

Pallbearers are Jackie’s grandsons:  Wesley Acker, Jeff Dobbs, Nick Acker, Matt Boswell, Marc Boswell and Russ Cook.

Memorials may be sent to:  Zephyr Baptist Encampment, 151 FM 3162, Sandia, TX  78383
