James Lee Quesenberry, 79 of Quinlan went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, December 5, 2019 in Greenville. A Memorial service celebrating James’ life will be held at a later date.

James was born July 12, 1940 in Tazewell, Virginia to the late Byrd P. Quesenberry and Pauline Brewester Quesenberry.  He lived in Tazewell until his teenage years when he moved to the Buckner’s Boys Home in Dallas.  He continued his education until receiving his Bachelor’s Degree and then pursued a career in law enforcement.  He served as a Dallas Police Officer for 20 years, Rains County Sheriff’s Department for 15 years, and Texas Department of Criminal Justice for five years.  He also served as a chaplain at Terrell State Hospital for five years.  James had a servant’s heart and that was evident in his 40-plus years of serving God as a minister. He loved studying his Bible and sharing the Word of God with people.  He also enjoyed raising chickens and playing his guitar.  James is preceded in death by his parents and wife Betty Quesenberry.

He is loved and will be missed by his sons Daymond Weatherford of Carrollton, Michael Quesenberry and his wife Wendi of Lone Oak; grandchildren Wesley Weatherford of Carrollton, Savannah Quesenberry, Brianna Arevalo, Christian Arevalo, and William Arevalo all of Lone Oak; friends Linda Moore, Freida Thompson, James Thompson, and Sharon Haney.
