Jimmy Wheeler Jordan, 81, of Greenville, died Monday, June 17, 2019 at his home.  Graveside services with full Greenville Police Department Honors will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Clinton Cemetery under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.  Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the funeral home.

 Mr. Jordan was born at home in the Bethel community, Hunt County, Texas on February 9, 1938.  He was the son of Richard Wheeler Jordan and Bertha May Daugherty Jordan.  He married Linda McAnn on May 24, 1968 in Greenville.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a retired Lieutenant in the Greenville Police Department.

 Survivors include his wife, Linda Jordan; sons, James Jordan and wife Erin, Richard Jordan and wife Kete and Ryan Jordan and wife Stephanie; daughter, Faunda Butler and husband Charles; sisters, Jewel McAnally and husband Monroe and Virginia Priest; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and one grandchild.

 Members of the Greenville Police Department Honor Guard will serve as pallbearers.
