John Kenneth “Ken” Joyce, 93, of Greenville, TX went to be with his Heavenly family on June 7, 2024. He was born on June 30, 1930 in Rising Star, TX to Cecil and Mamie Joyce.
Ken served in the United States Air Force from 1950—1954. After the service, he attended Sul Ross University in Alpine, TX, obtaining a Master of Education degree. He taught school in Crane, TX for many years. Ken then moved to Greenville, TX and became a salesman until retiring in his 80’s.
Ken is survived by his sister-in-law, Barbara Joyce; nephews: Doug Joyce and wife Amy, Cailen Joyce and wife Anita; niece, Telesha Hochstetler and husband Merlin; 3 great-nephews; and 1 great-great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Mamie Joyce; two older brothers: Don Joyce and wife Virginia, and Bernard “Bud” Joyce.
There will be a memorial service at 10:00 am on Friday, June 14, 2024 at the Christ Community Church. Pastor Rick Prettyman presiding.
