Jonathan Barrett Glasscock, Jr. 18, of Floyd, passed away on December 12, 2020 in Merit. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Bland High School Gym with Matt Hammack officiating. Burial will be in Farmersville I.O.O.F Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:30 A.M until service time. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Jonathan was born October 13, 2002 in Greenville, Texas to Jonathan Glasscock, Sr. and Alicesen Chaerie Smith. He was a High School Student at Bland, he loved showing cows and pigs, welding, playing basketball and football and raced go-carts. He was a member of Higher Trails Cowboy Church and Bland FFA.
He is survived by his mother, Alicesen Chaerie Point, father and step-mom, Jonathan Barrett Glasscock, Sr. and Jonna; brother, Hayes Cooper Glasscock; sisters, Elizabeth Brooke Glasscock, Makila Cheyanne Watson and Maleah Valorie Point; grandparents, Randy and Kathy Glasscock, Johnny and Terry Smith, Lynn and Lisa Calvert and Jolynn Miller; great-grandparents, Linda and Charles Ivy and Betty Smith; numerous aunts and uncles.
Pallbearers will be Dylan Wells, Hunter Weaver, Dalton Stone, Zach Taylor, Kaden Butler and Ben De La Cruz. Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Ham, Jarrett Linton, Jaxon Linton and Ty Kelly.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to a fund set up for Jonathan Glasscock at First Bank of Celeste, P. O. Box 7, Celeste, TX 75423.We are requesting that you limit the size of the gathering during the viewing due to concerns regarding the current health crisis. Please feel free to come and pay your respects but limit your contact with others as per recommended guidelines from the CDC.
