Larry Alan Donnenwerth, 68, of Caddo Mills, passed away on May 22, 2022 in Houston, Tx, at the home he grew up in.   Larry fought a courageous battle with cancer.  A funeral service is set for 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Authentic Life Fellowship in Greenville Texas with Rev. Jimmy Vaughn officiating.  Burial will follow at Clinton Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Friday, May 27, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Coker Mathews Funeral Home.

Larry was born on August 25, 1953 to Donald Ross Donnenwerth and Eleanore Jaehrig Donnenwerth.  He married Leslie Jones Donnenwerth on February 6, 2021.  Larry grew up in Houston Texas where he graduated from S. P Waltrip high school in Houston.  He later graduated from Texas State Technical Institute in Waco Texas.  He was employed at Optex Systems in Richardson Tx for 30 years where he worked in the planning and engineering department as a Production Planner.  He was a member of the Hunt County Republican Executive Committee and an election judge since 2004.

Larry is survived by his mother, Eleanore Donnenwerth of Houston and his wife, Leslie Jones Donnenwerth; his sons, Justin Donnenwerth and wife Sydney, Tyler Donnenwerth and wife Amilia, Jarred Donnenwerth and wife Kierian, Caleb Donnenwerth and wife Rebekah, Caden Jones and wife Arlie, Keaton Jones and wife Regan; daughters, Rebekah Sharp and Hannah Donnenwerth; sister and brother-in-law, Debra and Richard Galena of Houston; and grandchildren, Matthew, Corbin, and Elliot Donnenwerth, Ilia, Cass, and Willow Sharp, Jax, Blayke, and Ellie Jones.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Donald Donnenwerth.

Larry was dearly loved by his family.  He was loyal to those he loved and was always willing to help others.  He was a godly man and shared his faith with his family and others. He loved any kind of music, loved picking on his guitar and playing his drums.  He also loved Ford trucks.  He will be greatly missed and will forever be in our hearts.

Pallbearers will be his sons.
