Our dear mama, Lela Royer, passed away on 12-16-2022 at the age of 78. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born and raised in Dry Creek La. and made Texas her home in 1985. She enjoyed family time, relocating flowers, drinking her coffee, puzzles, and watching Survivor. She loved the outdoors and working in her yard. She was preceded in death by her mother Hellen Simmons-Jacobs, father Clarence Simmons, stepfather Elmo Jacobs, son Kenneth Royer, and father of her children Harold Royer. She is survived by son Teddy Harper and wife JoAnna, daughters Kim Morris, Gwen Whitley and husband Donnie, Kleshette Rivers and husband Dean; 16 grandchildren- James, Stephanie, Corey, Sarah, Jaden, Brandon, Staci, Kimmi, Camille, Chrissy, Chassidy, Brittni, April, Matt, Mitchell, Kenna, and their spouses and 28 great-grandchildren; sister Sherry Venable; Cousin Kathy Moreaux; best friend Judy Donaldson; beloved animals Sugar, Lola, and Robin. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She loved her children and grandchildren most of all.
