Linda Kay Richardson, age 76, of Caddo Mills, formerly of Mesquite, passed away on September 29, 2024. Born on October 4, 1947, in Dallas County to Richard Redd and Artie Mae Temple, Linda lived a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.
In her youth, Linda was an avid softball player, a passion she carried with her throughout her life. After over 30 years of dedicated service, she retired from Raytheon. Above all, she took pride in her roles as a loving wife, mother, and Mawmaw. Her family was always her top priority, and she found great joy in spending time with them.
Linda is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, David Lee Richardson; her daughter, Kim Addington, and husband Tim of Terrell; her brother, Tommy Redd, and wife Cindy of Sachse; and sister, Cathy Thorne of Emory. She also leaves behind her treasured granddaughter, Jessica Luellen, and husband Chuck LeCroy of Caddo Mills; great-grandchildren Hayven, Conner, and Caleb; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Redd and Artie Mae Temple; her siblings, Cheryl Hargis, Peggy McLeod, and Jimmy Rich; and her grandson, Jared Luellen.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date as the family gathers to honor her memory. Linda’s kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
