On July 25, 2020, Mark Joseph Shaw, passed unexpectedly at the age of 49. He is survived by his wife, Ardra Shaw, daughter Katelyn Shaw Cilny; Josef Cilny and soon to be born granddaughter Raelynn Cilny, youngest daughter Emily Shaw, mother, Dee Dupler, step-father, Don Dupler, sister Shelly Shaw Nastali; Jeff Nastali, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, E. Joseph Shaw and grandparents: (maternal) Homer Bright, Dorothy Bright, (paternal) Wilfrid and Mary Margaret Shaw. Mark was born September 10, 1970 in Lancaster Ohio, but his soul yearned for Texas. In 1996, he packed his belongings and his physical body finally met with his soul’s desire and he became a Texan. Soon after, he became a father, and completely fell in love with fatherhood. He adored his children and was a faithful husband and confidante. His private nature belied a compassionate heart, that when revealed, exposed the Love of God to all in need. He was a member of Eagle Mountain International Church. Mark was known by his sarcastic sense and his quick wit. He sought Shalom, enjoyed an occasional poker game, had an impish streak a mile wide and could recite all the lame Dad jokes. He loved dachshunds and completely loved being a father. When left to his own devices, he could be found watching an exciting NASCAR race or calculating baseball statistics during a game. He founded Lonestar Bit Ranch in 2007 was a proud small businessman. His love and understanding finally convinced him to adopt a cat (his wife’s cat). And they lived happily ever after.
