Mary Christina Keahey, 65, of Greenville, Texas, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, October 24, 2019. She was born on June 10, 1954 in Dallas, Texas, to her parents, Luther Leon Grubbs and Juanita Christina Davis Grubbs
Mary attended South Garland High School. Sometime later, she attended nursing school, earning an Associates’s degree. She worked as a nurse’s assistant for many years. Mary also worked as an office manager for a doctor’s office for some time. Her true gifts were utilized when she served as a caregiver for several of her family members. It was a blessing to her and her family that she was able to serve them in that way. Mary was a devoted wife to her husband, Eddie, who she married on October 24, 1992. She was a devoted wife, adored by her entire family. Mary’s favorite thing to do in her free time was to be with her grandchildren. They provided her with many hours of love and enjoyment.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Eddie, her daughters, Michelle Hundley and husband, Brian, and Melissa McGill; grandchildren, Lindsey, Paris, Madison, Alex and Ashton; a great-granddaughter, Zyla; siblings, Wanda Marks and husband, Jack; Elizabeth Smith and husband, Philip, Kay Roberts and husband, Ronnie, Paula Ryan and Paul Grubbs and wife, Debbie; niece, Lisa Keahey, along with many other nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Juanita Grubbs, and brothers Arson Leon Grubbs and Edward Grubbs.
Being named as an Honorary Bearer is Heidi, to whom Mary was like a second mom.
