Services for Mary Govan, 71, of Lone Oak, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Lone Oak Baptist Church, with Pastor Shelton Oliver officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.

The interment will be in Hall Cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Keelin Govan passed away on March 22, 2024, in Mesquite. She was born October 29, 1952, in Greenville, to Harvey & Mary Ann Moore Keelin. She graduated from Wills Point High School, Class of 1970, and then lived most of her life in Lone Oak, where she was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 18 years, Wesley Govan; two brothers, Eddie Keelin, and Harvey “Buster” Keelin; and sister, Rebecca “Becky” Barron.

Survivors include her son, Wesley Govan and wife Sandra of Edgewood; brother, Kelly Keelin of Lone Oak; three sisters, Laura “Sissy” Keelin, Sandy Keelin, and Tia Rhodes and husband Willie, all of Lone Oak; three grandchildren, Tristan Govan and wife Kendall, S’Andra Govan, and Sierra Govan; three great-grandchildren, Colton Bogden, Emory Govan, and Kinsley Govan; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Michael Oliver, Matthew Rhodes, Jerry North, Chris Harris, Jeff Clark, and Dylan Gibson.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church.
