Michael Byrne, 79, of Greenville, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 in Rowlett, Texas. Funeral services will be 10 A.M., Saturday, November 30, 2019 at First Church of Royse City with Rev. Jason Hammack officiating. Visitation will be 9 A.M. until service time at the church. Burial will be in McWright Cemetery.
Mr. Byrne was born August 28, 1940 in Electra, Texas to Howell and Mary Byrne. He married Carolina Pursley on December 21, 1972 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was a retired Security Guard and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the First Church of Royse City.
He is survived by his sons, Larry Huff and Jeffery Huff; daughters, Rebecca Hammack, Sherry Davidson and Shelia McMullen; grandchildren, Joey, Susan, Darell, Rhonda, Raina, Melissa, Dale, Shannon, Amenda, Eric, Tonia, Bonnie, James, Joshua, David, Michael, Nicholas and Noah; twenty one great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 2017; parents; son, Sammy Huff; daughters, Carol Robinson and Judy Gail Inman; grandson, Russell Wells, and one sister.
Pallbearers will be Rick Morton, Charles Gray, Nathan Henderson, Joshua Offutt, Jerry Huffman, and Jace Froehlich.
